Pros

Works only at very low ambient noise levels.

Transmit/recieve non-canceling not an issue, since the volume of the music is so low anyway

Otherwise, none

Cons

A light-duty unit, that is almost unusable at the volume levels of an actual airplane.

Does not interrupt when the radio is transmitting or recieving

General Comments

Probably will have to go another way here, or be satisfied listening to music ONLY while taxiing!

Pros

Works good for playing music to my headset. People who I've talked to on the phone said that it sounds good.

Cons

Mic does not work stand-alone. A little pricey for what it really is.

General Comments

The first airplane that I was flying did not have a radio and I could not get the phone to work right with it. I could hear the person at the other end but they could not hear me. I called Sporty's and then the company who makes it and explained my situation. It was first thought that I received the wrong interface wire to go to the phone. The company sent me a new one and it still did not work. After further investigation it was discovered that in order for my mic to work, it needed voltage to it. Since I was not plugging into a radio it would not work. I subsequently tried it in a plane with a radio and the mic/phone worked fine.

Pros

handy, easy to use, iT WORKS !

Cons

well, it needs a maybe cloth zippered pouch. There are two cables... one for cellphone one for mp3... and it has two pigtails... so without a pouch, i fear that the pieces will get misplaced.

General Comments

handy in the flight bag if you lose coms.

or to call someone to meet you at the airport, etc

Sent it back unused. Did not like how wires & jacks were arranged- not in line. No way to secure or fasten it out of the way( clips, velcro, etc.). Too much additional "cockpit clutter".

EASY TO USE, WORKS AS ADVERTISED. IT'S NICE TO BE ABLE TO LISTEN TO MUSIC ON THOSE LONG FLIGHTS AND STILL HEAR ATC CALLS CLEARLY. CELL PHONE CALLS ARE MADE WITHOUT ENGINE BACKGROUND NOISE.

Pros

Clean audio to my HD video camera. Worked with my cell phone while on the ground, engine "NOT RUNNING"

Cons

Can't use in the air. Audio from ipod low. No instruction on how wires provided, hook up to what end. Both male ends are different. Way over priced.

General Comments

I got this to tie my ATC audio into the videos I shoot while flying. For that, it gets the job done well with clean audio. What it won't do is make a clean call while engine is running or in flight. You can hear the caller, but they can't hear you. This unit should be sold under 30 dollars.

Pros

Works as advertised.

Cons

It comes with two cables, one for music and one for phone. The phone cable is only compatible with standard 2.5mm jacks. I have several phones in my home and only the oldest and cheapest of them has a 2.5mm. I had to buy the adapter cable and pay extra shipping.

The instructions are cryptic at best and arrive on a horribly photocopied wad of paper.

General Comments

If you call someone and they can't hear you, but you can hear them... you need to buy the adapter cable.

Their should be an option of which cables come with the unit. I feel like I was misled by the way the adapter is advertised as being for specific models, when it is really just a standard 3.5mm cable for many, many phones. I have no use for the cables that were thrown in the box, and the correct cable could have just as easily been included. I am satisfied with the product, but not it's presentation in the catalog.

Pros

Works independent of Com and Intercom, plugged into Headset circuit. Small size, single battery power. System worked fine to integrate with XM radio off my Garmin 496.

Cons

Does not include any guidance to obtaining the necessary adapters for telephones, and its not clear whether the VOX mic on the headset will work with the phone. If the phone and adapter are not completely integrated, usage of the phone is unpredictable. More guidance on compatible phones and adapters required would be helpful, even if not practical. Should function, with proper phone and adapter, like any other hands-free headset!

General Comments

Initially picked up engine noise on the ground, which appeared to disappear in flight. Might require filters.
