The M-80 noise-canceling electret microphone is mounted on a new fully flexible boom. Reversible boom adjusts and stays in the perfect position with just one hand—may be rotated 180° for use on the right or left side. Improved ergonomic head cushions provide superior weight distribution and Soft-Gel earseals eliminate noise leakage. Ambient noise reduction was excellent. The headphones were comfortable and easy to use. Reception from ATC, passenger, other aircraft, etc. was crystal clear. I even like the color.

Cons

As stated in "pros" all outside reception was crystal clear, but my own voice was muffled. That took some getting used to as it does not happen with my David Clarks. Not sure if it's designed to do that or not. I seemed to have a tiny bit more trouble with the voice activation than with my DC's, but I still have the mic sponges on both and I do have a little trouble with the DC's as well. Could just be me in both cases.

General Comments

All in all, for the price they are a very good buy. I bought them for passenger use, and I intend to keep using my DC's. But if it came to it, it wouldn't bother me at all to have to use these if I needed to.

Great headset for the money! It is comfortable, and it can be worn the other way around if I switch between an aircraft with center/side headset plugs.
