Lightspeed 30-3G Headset (portable)
This popular Lightspeed ANR headset is a great value, and allows cell phone and auxiliary audio interfacing (includes interface cables). Weighing in at only 15 oz, the 30-3G provides an amazing 28-30dB of active noise cancellation and a passive NRR of 12-22dB. Two AA batteries (included) last up to 30 hours with a patented auto shut-off system that powers down the active electronics if system is left unattended. | I fly an Aeronca Champ...a noisy cockpit environment. I already had another brand ANR headset and needed one for the rear seat. I heard good things about the Lightspeed so bought this one for me and moved the other one to the rear seat...WOW! The difference is amazing. The Lightspeed is very quiet, substantially cut down my background noise making communication with the tower and now the backseat orders of magnitude better than before. Even with the con's I've listed I still believe to be one of the best headsets for the money. ConsSlight feedback sound when you move headset around, had to return my first set because feedback was so bad they were not usable. My 20G's do not have this problem. Not sure if it's just because the noise canceling is more sensitive. Not very good without the ANR turned on, so keep extra batteries handy. The ANR system is extremely appriciated as is the automatic shut off system. I did have a problem within the first few uses, but Lightspeed quickly sent me a new one. ConsNone at this time. General Comments I originaly owned a pair of 20XL (which worked great). The 20XL's were traded for the 30-3G thru Lightspeed. I then bought another pair of 30-3G's for my son (a pilot) at Sporty's. |
