Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to use it much so my high marks are based on the quality look and feel vs. actual use. The light comes with a great case that's designed to keep the light in so it shouldn't come out accidentally. Cons The lanyard included with the light is too short and thin. Although it's large enough to make it over a hand the lanyard is not large and wide enough to go over your head and comfortably rest around your neck where it might be most useful in night flight. Overall the LED Lenser looks and feels like a great light. The five bright white LED's provide plenty of light while getting around the airplane for preflight and getting things stowed once inside. The red LED also provides plenty of light inside the cockpit while night flying without compromising your night vision. |

| Bright white LED and very usable red LED. Very easy to handle with a good quality aluminum housing. ConsThe belt case holder is well made but the clip to secure the case to a belt or pocket is little better than a barrette for holding hair and there is no "loop" to slip a belt through. When paying 40-50 dollars for a light you don't want to trust securing it with this case. Buttons are easy to use. ConsIf case on belt, pulling the light out tends to pull whole case off belt rather than light out of case. Serrations on the clip would help. General CommentsI put a neck lanyard on its hook and it works well. The white has a slight blue tint to it on center. I didn't find this to be a problem at all, and against a white plane body it is easy to identify blue AV gas. |
