This thing is really handy for long flights when you need to switch charts. It's also great for IFR. You can stash an enroute low chart next to your approach plates with ease and it holds extra pens/pencils, something every IFR pilot knows you're always trying to find in a pinch. I generally use my iPad as a yoke-mounted IFR kneeboard, so my paper approach plates aren't handy on the yoke. Any type of technology has the potential to fail, so it's nice to know that my approach plate binder is handy in the event of an iPad failure.

This is just one of those products you don't realize you need until you get ahold of one and realize how much you were missing out on.

It gives me light where I want it, and when I want it. Tried it last night, and it helped fill in the gaps where my aircraft's light is too dim.

The storage clips are useful. It allows me to keep small things where I can get to them easily.

In a small cockpit, like in the Cessna 150, it's hard to find a place where it doesn't interfere with my instruments.

Overall, its a good purchase. The light is nice to have, and it is good to have an extra place to keep small things that I need during a flight.
