Suction Cup Instrument Light
This tiny LED light can be a real lifesaver in an electrical emergency. Just stick one onto the face of an instrument (altimeter, tachometer, etc.) and turn it on. You’ll get a bright illumination of the instrument, without blocking the hands. Use multiple to light the entire panel if needed. Also useful as a temporary fix when post lights go out—keep a set on hand just in case. Uses three watch batteries (included).

They seem like a good idea, but since the light is white, they're not ideal for night use. I managed to take one apart and replace the white LED with a red one, and I'm looking forward to trying that out on an actual night flight now that it's dark by 5:00 or so. |
