As a student, I've not beaten this bag up, yet... but at first look, it was bigger than I expected. The material seems very strong. There are pockets galore. I'll review it again after I've abused... er... used it for a while.

A lot of side pockets, the double zip on the top makes easy to insert and take out all the stuffs from the bag. The size is really right if you are a student and you have to stay all day at airport, there is plenty of space for my books, additional clothes (winter in North Florida makes not easy to decide how it will be all day), my professional camera with a couple of lenses and some more.

just the right size with room for growth very well made durable and good zippers , very happy with it , can even fit a laptop in it and an i pod and more electronics if needed , this will be the only bag you will need , and the warranty is outstanding .

General Comments

I bought this bag since my regular 'flight bag' - a $10 NASA backpack gifted to me during an internship - was starting to show some wear. It arrived the night before my checkride, and it sort of told me that there really wasn't any turning back now. I figured that if I invested money into a good flight bag, I would be less intimidated by the DPE, who went from being nice and unassuming to inhumanly intimidating with a simple 'Let's begin.'

I have nothing but positive things to say about the bag. It fits everything I need (although it's significantly lighter now that I don't have to carry around all my pre-checkride reading material anymore!), and the side pockets are a nice touch. Now I can fit everything I need for preflight planning on one side of the bag, everything I need in flight on the other, and no more endlessly fishing around trying to find a different sectional or wondering where the hell my E6B went.

Details are important to me, being an engineering student and all, and this bag DELIVERS! The stitching is top-notch, the bag feels rugged without feeling burdensome, my headset is now nicely protected (nothing to sneer at, considering they were over $300), etc. And, honestly, the bag just makes you LOOK like a pilot. Whether you know what the hell you're doing or not, it's hard to be taken seriously when you show up with all your gear in a bag that looks like you stole it from a fifth-grader.

Most importantly, attaching a water bottle is easy. People forget how important it is to stay hydrated, especially on long cross-countries in southern California, which can sometimes take you over vast, endless expanses of hot, dry nothing.
