    Good, but not perfect
    Pros

Fairly easy setup, worked will with FSX, not as thrilled with X-Plane.

    Cons

Throttle quadrant prop control and mixture control not programable/useable in FSX, though ironically they seem to work fine in X-plane.

    General Comments

Seems to be a good well built product. Has already increased my enjoyment of using both Sim products, FSX and X-plane.

Finding the right surface or table to attach it to took a little thought, its is much bigger than I expected (which is a good thing) and the work surface I originaly planned to set it up would not work due to the way it attaches to the surface, but once I figured it out everything was great!

    Pros

The perfect combination for Flight Sim X/2004. Flying was smooth and easy and no endless hours of tweaking like the old Xbox 360 controller I was previously using. Buttons were easily programmable in Flight Sim. Installation was a breeze.

    Cons

Pedals need slight tweeking. If you press down on them, you can't engage the breaks or the left/right break. You also have to set the default controls to the yoke, for some reason, mine defaulted to the pedals.

    General Comments

This is the product I've wanted to use since I started flying on Flight Simulator back in 1993. The package deal is compeditavely priced, and the installation takes about 2 minutes after putting the power/prop/mixture together. If you fly for a Virtual Airline or are just want an easier way to fly in Flight Sim without hours of programming and tweeking a control stick, this is for you.

    Pros

The yoke and pedals, particularly left/right braking are far more a flight experience than my old joystick. If you are really into a realistic experience then this is a must have, plus you can add to the basic bundle to create your own high end simulator.

Set up is very easy, just plug it in, set the appropriate axis in FSX and you are ready to fly. The brakes need to be reversed so that they are not always on but that's the hardest part.*

*(see cons for my probably unique and unpleasant experience with the throttle.)

    Cons

The throttle quadrant worked for about fifteen minutes, then became unstable )low to high to low RPM), then quit completely. I'm running Windows 7, so I uninstalled the yoke and got the newest driver from the Saitek website, this left my throttle stuck at minimum unless I used the keyboard commands. An hour on hold with tech support and they suggested I run a .cpl file outside of normal setup/install. This unlocked my quadrant from the middle setting and gave me my control switches. The tech support guy gave me his email should I have more issues, which I did a week later when the quadrant quit again. Emails to tech support to get that .cpl file name went unanswered for over a week, guess it's back to the phone. I'm considering getting another quadrant that runs on USB instead of the Ps2 connection on the bundled quadrant. My suspicion is issues with the hardware, not software.

    General Comments

Don't let my bad throttle quadrant experience turn you off. You probably will get a fully functional yoke/pedal set that engages your entire body in simulated flight, not just your wrist. The Saitek product is of generally high quality with a solid feel, not just all cheap plastic.

This sure makes MS flight simulator a lot more realistic for a pilot. I plan to upgrade and get the radio and switch quadrants next.

After years of using the extreme 3D pro joystick, this was like starting over "CORRECTLY". It took a bit of getting used to, but always for the better.

I was missing the throttle quadrant piece that forms the thread in the bracket... a call to Sporty's got the replacement piece to me right away and they were very friendly about it.

    Cons

I think that the documentation could use a bit of help. The information to setup the yoke and rudders is available on the Saitek website, but was not readily apparent to me, so I went a couple of days without toe brakes on the pedals.

You need to install the drivers, and then go to Saitek and look at their FAQ section... the settings are not readily achievable without this information.

    General Comments

Great robust product.... I look forward to years of using them.

Realistic feel that real-world pilots will appreciate!

    Cons

Rudder pedal usb cord could be longer. But extension would probably work. Also be careful when plugging/unplugging the throttle quadrant connector, it's a round plug like on a keyboard. Pins can be bent if not careful.

    General Comments

Worth every penny. Take your time and go through all button assignments to set it up like the real thing. Takes some time, but worth it. Saitek's the only way to go!
