    Pros

Very beneficial for further understanding on Flight.
Using after and before actual flight instruction your mind is more open to what your instructor is teaching you.

    Cons

To use all the controls you need is a missed benefit that you need. Understanding items like flaps up or down; controlling
your landing and takeoff with rudders at the run/way; helps; however not be able to put them up without rolling the plan; gets in the way; plus the controls jerking and twitching when your trying to control them yourself is no big help either.
Using the landing gear on the Beach Bonanza also I have to roll the plane just to put them up; that doesn't help my learning when I'm trying to see natural things. Plus using the control on IFR or VFR the panel staying up in front of your screen it can really be annoeing and dis- stracting. On it I was actually hoping for more of a system in training me all hands on. I know it can't detect the sences I get when I'm flying.

    General Comments

By ignoring the yoke when the system jerks around on you,
then you can get past that ; and learn what you need through a more understanding lessen of attitude control.
The simulator can use some great improvement. I would pay $50.00 more dollars for it if it would serve my greater need of being able to use all of my controls at once without having to roll the plane because the arrow curcer won't let me click them. I'm an engineer so I can set my mind away from them; however many others won't be able too. I would recommend it because you have to strart somewhere.

    Pros

Realistic. Helps to have a good computer. don't think that this is going to function with your old dell with 5g and 30 g of ram. I planned before-hand. I'm a licensed pilot, so controls were familiar. Set-up was easy, but don't get in a hurry, as that will spoil the effect. Make sure you have a desk with room to mount from below. Not all desks are created equal. Take your time. It's not reality, but then again, if you want reality, get your license. This is a great tool for those days when it's not condusive to flying, and most schools recognize the motivation to purchase this set-up, to continue to learn, as a good pilot is always learning.

    Cons

Pedals are a bit sluggish, but I attribute that to being on carpet. Get velcro and attach it.

    Pros

I am very pleased with my purchase. I plan on adding to my simulator package to include other available items to further my training experience.

    I definitely recommend these items.

    Cons

I am presently attempting to interface my simulator package with a 50" high def 3D television to make the flight more realistic. I am having challenges in this effort. The game does not, as of yet, play on the television. The Geek Squad is scheduled to come to my home to hopefully resolve this issue.

    Pros

    Inexpensive (relatively).
While not quite as realistic as I would like, it does help me improve my instrument scan.

    Cons

The controls are not realistic, they are either too sensitive or not sensitive enough and do not respond as I would expect. I spent a lot of time configuring them just to make them usable.

The drivers don't work well. I had to install a third party driver just to get the throttle quadrant to work correctly. The drivers that were included caused the throttle, prop and mixture to either be all the way in or all the way out; 90% of the range of the controls were not used. I spent two days getting this to work correctly; there are a lot of blogs available from people with the same issue.

    General Comments

Once I got everything setup, I do use this regularly. I'm instrument rated but took several years off flying so I needed something to help me get back into the game. I tend to control pitch with the trim because using the yoke just doesn't respond correctly but, as I mentioned before, this does help my scan.

The missions are set up for a novice to begin flying easily. I was able to figure out most of the function of the various buttons and switches by trial and error. Some were similar to actual controls in single engine planes, some weren't

    Cons

There was no owners manual or instructions with the yoke assembly. The throtte had no hardware to attach it to table clamp. The yoke control unit and the rudder pedal unit could use rubber buttons or covering on top to prevent a laptop from moving and for the rudder assembly from sliding on the floor.
