    Mixed feelings on this product.
    Pros

Affordable; much better to buy from Sporty's than Saitek. Saitek is not the greatest company. Flight Simulator X is amazing.

    Cons

The throttle quadrant was not working when I first received it. It is not made well; cheap construction. The company Saitek itself has horrible customer service. The yolk does not work quite right, if I turn the yolk too far, I get full power for some reason despite manually setting the controls. It is not user friendly and although it says its set up mainly for FSX, it does not seem to want to work properly.

    General Comments

The throttle quadrant was not working when I first received it, so I made the mistake of calling Saitek instead of Sporty's. I was kept on hold for over an hour before they hung up on me. I naively tried two more times to get ahold of someone, anyone at Saitek. I only waited 20 minutes the second and third times on hold before hanging up and calling back. The fourth time I called, the woman gave me a number that went to a full voicemail. I hate Saitek now.
I then called Sporty's, one call, was not placed on hold and they replaced it right away. Should have called them first time!

    Pros

Accurate feel and reaction. Very well constructed. Interface with computer simple.

    Cons

Operating instructions are inadequate. Saitec needs to do a better job of directing users as to how to use the item out of the box. I still have not figured out what switches control what.

    General Comments

I'm sure I will enjoy it much more when I figure it out more. As with most things, ability comes with trial and error practice.

Computer USB Ports power down to cause problems when flying. I happened on a fix to enable you to turn off the usb power down cycle and all is well until next time - then do it again.

    Pros

Equipment arrived on time (3 days) and intact. Setup went smoothly and ran first time up. Just starting to experiment with possibilities- real time weather works very well.

    Cons

None so far, one lock-up at 23,000 ft with the Airbus. I only wish MSF included a Piper Archer II.

    General Comments

Works as advertised, will be a great tool to augment learning the real thing.

    Great Setup and Price.
    Pros

Easy Set up. But must follow instructions on FSX. Easy to mount units. Just takes a little ingenuity to have it placed in the correct spots. Much more like flying the real aircraft. Rudder pedals are the best.

    Cons

If anything. The clamp plates. Be careful not to tighten up too much or they will bend.

    General Comments

Best all around for price. Nice package. Am going to get some extra throttle quadrants so I can fly multi engine aircraft.

    AMAZING PRODUCT
    Pros

Our son had been saving his Christmas and Birthday money for a long time so he could purchase this set. We were a little nervous about him spending so much money on something we were kind of unfamiliar with, but we consented and were SO glad we did. He is already learning SO much. Our little pilot went in the air with a friend of a friend recently and was given the opportunity to hold the yoke. He said he would not have even tried if it wasn't for this set. We homeschool and our son has to get done with all his school work before going on his simulator. Lately... he's been flying through his work so he can spend time learning how to fly. It's AMAZING!

    Saitek Flight Controls
    Pros

Flight controls appear to suggest a quality design.

    Cons

I did not find anything wortwhile with the Microsoft gold edition. I could not down load the flight control software,as it stated that it was incompatible with windows XP. So I had to use the game controls that came with XP,but they would not sync up with the microsoft Gold software, making the whole shooting match worthless.

    General Comments

Flight controls seem to be of very good quality. Sure wish I could use them.

The Saitek Yoke and Rudder Pedals were better built than I expected them to be. Easy Set-up and GREAT performance! Terrific Value for the money!
