small design allows to be transferred btw planes. great if you rent. Peace of mind is well worth money.

Nice product , easy first steps while ordering through the internet from oversees, stated that shipping might be an issue to oversees as dangerous good.

while then continuing to rder in internet the whole order goes through and no further mention is made in regard to the issue around oversees shipping. so the international customer gets quite happy in the process as no further problem is raised.

then only via email and in direct contact the issue is solved to hear only shipping within US possible. Would be very helpful if this is stated right away !!! otherwise you frustrate customers as credit card transaction is gone through and the order seems to be successfully closed while being on the internet.

Product claims that it will put out an electrical or flamable liquid fire inside the airplane without corrosive powder going everywhere and interfering with flying the plane while fighting a fire.

Does not come with a cockpit fire to be able to test and verify claims. It is somewhat expensive, but the peace of mind is worth it.

I feel much safer having an aviation recommended extinguisher in the plane now.

From previous experience in operational engineering, I know Halon is an excellent extinguishing product. Regarding the pros and cons of CO2 and Dry Powder extingushers, Halon is superior in this application.
The small extinguisher is very compact and can easily be carried in a flight bag as advertised (when renting an airplane for example). Mine is permanently mounted in the cabin of my aircraft. Don't forget proper maintenance records and a weight & balance amendment to complete the work. I have taken it with me in the flight bag when using the occasional rental airplane. A very easy thing to do for additional safety.

The extinguisher seems to be a little pricey. However, if I ever have to use it, I'll probably consider it a drop dead bargain. The method used to secure the safety pin is not as robust as I would like (the plastic retainer cable tie can slip off without notice). This has happened to me when carrying it in a flight bag with other items jostling around in the bag. If you do this, check that the safety pin is still in and secure it to avoid an accidental discharge. Or, replace the cable tie with something a bit more secure (yet still easy to break loose).

A good addition to the cockpit either as your first (and only) fire extinguisher or to replace a CO2 or Dry Powder Unit.
