I would have ordered at the same time to save the double shipping charges. Your on line catalog only listed the 296 and 396 at the time so i thought 496 was not available. When my 430 protectors arrived a hard catalog was also included that I had to order the 496 from and pay the extra shipping. Found this to be most disappointing ......when I suggested to the operator they absorb the shipping and correct the mistake I was told he was unable to do that. I ordered anyway but in these hard economic times unhappy customers can do a lot more damage than good. I will think twice before another order and that is to bad because you guys were always fair in the past. One unhappy instrument rated pilot .......for what it is worth. |

Fit well on the screen, and was fairly easy to apply because of the good fit. Did not interfere with the screen visibility at all. ConsIt is fairly overpriced, but it is still worth it, considering the price of a GNS 430. Also, it is almost impossible to avoid touching the screen in turbulence or while looking outside when knob twisting. The screen costs $700, so overpaying a bit for such a screen protector is a good investement. General CommentsIf you have a GPS, get a protector like this for it - it is worth it. But DO make sure you clean the screen well first. |

Cleaning, if done improperly, worsens the problem. These lightly adhesive films solve the problem of "finger pointing" passengers and instructors and do not reduce the brightness or contrast of the display. ConsTake your time and get the alignment right the first time. Not difficult, but important for a professional look. A bit pricey, but so is the equipment you're trying to keep nice.
