The new Airman ANR 850 is the next generation, with advances in clarity, comfort and convenience. Clarity The Airman ANR 850 adds up to 12dB of active noise reduction, specifically aimed at reducing wind noise in jet cockpits. An amplified electret mic provides the clearest communications, and features a fully flexible boom. Comfort Weighing less than 4 oz., the Airman ANR 850 is the lightest headset available with ANR. And with new, larger ear cushions, you’ll hardly notice it’s there. Convenience The ANR feature is completely powered by mic bias, meaning absolutely no batteries and no panel installation—it’s hassle-free ANR. Also includes a “set and forget” volume control and a folding design that fits easily into the included headset case.

I was used to Bose X's so the sound reduction is definitely there, but not close to Bose. Being light makes up for it. ConsIt has a high/low setting for volume.
