It would be helpful to include in your website how to measure the altimeter. I asked two A&Ps and they both told me a 3" altimeter. 2-7/8 was the closest so that's what I ordered. The altimeter in my plane turned out to require the 2-3/4 device. It is apparantly the diameter of the exposed glass of the instrament.
Great little approach device though. I have flow more than 30 approaches, to near minimums, while simple. it realy help avoid confusion at critical times.
    Thanks

    Pros

Nice for altitude alerts for instrument approaches.

    Cons

It is a little flimsy so I don't know if it will stand up to lots of use. For $50 I think the thing could be more durably made. Better yet, the price should be decreased.

Be sure to measure the glass face of your altimeter accurately. The 2 7/8" diameter indicater is exactly 2 7/8". The glass face on my altimeter is 1/32" less than 2 7/8" and the indicater would not fit. I had to go with the 2 3/4" diameter indicater. While slightly smaller than the face of the instrument, at least it fits.

Just what I wanted for my Mooney, but see Cons:

    Cons

I had the same problem as some other pilot in that the Altitude setting circle would begin to rotate around when I was in cruse mode. This rotation was a result of vibrating the setting circle that was caused by the engine vibrating the instrument panel. I fixed the problem by inserting two very thin plastic pieces (with sticky back) onto the rotating ring.

This item is a good safety check for holding you altitude on IFR approaches.

Very easy to install. A great reminder of target altitudes when busy. Have only used for a short time, not able to remark on durability. Ingenious adhesive made it easy to put in place.

    Pros

    A simple and effective product

    Cons

Quality control is dubious. Bought one a few years back and it wouldn't slide in the ring. Also the glue is weak. Hope this one works out.

    THE PRICE IS OUTRAGEOUS ! ! ! It's worth maybe $20.00

    Pros

Good clearly marked bugs, easy to set.

    Cons

Rotates too freely allowing airframe vibration to move bugs. In 10 minutes flight, bugs settle to bottom of indicator. Slipping altitude bugs could be a potential safety risk.

    General Comments

Would be a great product if a little more internal friction was designed into the ring to prevent slippage.
