Robotow Heavy Duty Cordless
The Robotow is a lightweight, portable, towbar—one person can easily move singles and heavy twins such as the Aztec, Baron, and Cessna 421. The aircraft moves when the Robotow's friction drum is held against the nose wheel. Heavy duty motor has been proven in commercial and military applications. A switch reverses direction instantly and a trigger on the pistol-grip handle controls the speed ensuring positive control. Take it with you too—weighs less than 30 pounds. Robotow comes with a unit, battery (28 volt) and battery charger (115 v). Measures 48"l x 12"w. Attaches like any other towbar. Made in the USA. Ground Shipping only. |

It takes very little downward pressure on the handle. The adapter which connects to the nose gear is sturdy and well made. ConsIt is a little cumbersome to hookup and unhook from the nose gear, but after doing it a few times it goes pretty quickly. Easy to use and saves my back. I was unable to push my twin back in the hanger by myself as there is a slope for water to drain. This really works. | It can be operated and allow for steering the aircraft all with one hand and with minimal stress on the nose gear. Also, it hooks up to my Beechcraft very easily. ConsPrice is a little high and the unit might be considered by some to be a little heavy. General CommentsIt seems to provide sufficient tow capability without the noise and hassle of a gas powered tow while being easy to use and allows steering without lifting a gas powered unit of the ground. |
