Date - 7-16-2008 Rating - ATP OverallDurability Reliability Value Usability Expected Recommended Yes | the strobe light feature is unique from other flashlights and enhances SAFETY by increasing my visibility when i perform the exterior inspection at night on the Airbus A320. the ramp area around an airliner can be hazardous with all the ground equipment, baggage, cargo, fuel, and servicing people around it. Consthe flashlight/strobe rotary switch can be easily activated when inside my flight bag and drain the battery when stored for long periods or even before i use it for preflight. the flashlight uses 2 AA batteries instead of the larger 2 "D" type ICAO standard. it's also i bit pricey too compared to other ordinary flashlights. General Commentsit would be better if the flashlight/strobe has a more protective switch, a red lens cover option also for the strobe, not just for the flashlight. and if it can have a modified version with the 2 larger "D" type ICAO std. batteries, our airline might even buy lots of it as a standard issue to our line pilots, cabin crew and mechanics! |
