Cons Setting up initially is a bit difficult, and adjusting the band is accomplished only by removing / adding links which requires some patience; what appear to be small screws are actually pins, and must be drive out towards the side that look like screws. Or you can take to a jeweler to do it. Sporty's provides this watch at an excellent price, and I am very happy with it. Since I flew A-4s, the Skyhawk was a fitting choice, and the Blue Angel model looks quite nice to me. |

Luminous face is easy to read in the dark, and there's also an LED backlight. Direct sunlight gives a full charge in a few hours, but a bright lamp will also work. Bezel/computer rotates smoothly, and the watch seems to be very solidly made(as it should be, considering the price). ConsOn the large side, and a bit heavy for a wristwatch (a titanium version is available). The instruction manual is detailed and logical, but lengthy (download the .pdf version for easier reading). The "quick-start" guide seems like an afterthought and is not very useful. General CommentsI rarely buy a new watch (every ten to fifteen years), and I expect them to be reliable and accurate. In addition to its many features, the Citzen Skyhawk has the advantage of being solar powered and radio-controlled, and I won't be surprised it outlasts all of the previous watches I've owned. |
