In 30 degree weather has been enough to keep warm in for short periods of time. Static city- the amount of static built up by just taking your arms out of the sleeves is incredible due to cold weather and practically no moisture in the air. Once temperatures rise a bit and there is more moisture in air, problem should subside. Not sure if it is worth QUITE that much money, but it is for sure a nicer one of my fleece style jackets. Has a chest pocket which I have found handy for putting my cell phone in, or anythign you would generally put in your pocket and then have to dig for in the cockpit. |

Date - 12-18-2009 Pilot Rating - Commercial OverallDurability Reliability Value Usability Expected Recommended Yes | Very comfortable jacket..just the right thickness, as long as the wind is not gusting to 50 you can't feel the wind cutting through it. Water resistant as well, it just beads off like a freshly Rain-X'd windshield. Zipper pockets are nice...especially the one on the upper front, holds your cell phone nicely. I have had several people at the airport comment on how nice it looks. ConsThe inside of the jacket collects pet hair like crazy..I guess if you dont mind that you'll be OK..I have 2 shedding pets and it drives me crazy, but thats what a lint roller is for. Also, if its say below 35 out, you might need another layer to keep you warm if your staying outside for any lenght of time. The AOPA logo, which is really the coolest part of the jacket, can be hard to see, but I have had people notice it, so maybe it depends on what angle your looking at it.
