Zulu Time Watch

This is the best Zulu Time Watch. The fact it is offered by AOPA is a big plus. It was bigger and of a higher quality than I expected from the picture. An overall great buy for the money. Plus I got this on sale!

None that I can find.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my daughter who is nearly finished with her flight lessons. I think she will get good use of this watch for many flights.

AOPA Zulu Time Watch

Nice logo to support AOPA. Watch hands big and easy to read.

Zulu sub-dial and date window are so small you need a magnifying glass to read them. Same with the Tachymeter, which is a microscopic shadow around the perimeter of the watch and it doesn't do anything. Cannot comment on durability or reliability. Spend $20 at Kmart and you would get a better watch!

Since I didn't grow up in the nuclear fog of Chernobyl, I only have two thumbs to give it a thumbs down!

Swiss movement, large numbers are easy to read, attractive design, can set UTC on subdial, date display, seems well built.

Difficult to see at night, had trouble with the date feature

Overall this is a nice watch. It features a swiss movement, leather strap, large numbers, and an attractive design. I'm glad I purchased it. But......

There are some issues. Although the hands glow at night they aren't very bright and the numbers do not glow.

Also there is no AM/PM indicator. You might think this is no big deal but the problem is you don't know if you're setting '11:00 am' on your watch or '11:00 pm'. This is important because it affects when the date changes. Unfortunately you have to wait to see if you set it correctly. If the date changes at 12 noon you know you've set it incorrectly.

I also do not like how small the AOPA logo is. There is plenty of room on the dial and AOPA easily could have put a much larger logo on there.

Big Face easy to read Z dail a little small

Large easy to see time. Attractive, received complimentary comments, Usefull for Metars

Z time dial a little small, Changed to expansion band, Watch removed regularly for activities.

Good investment if it holds up.

Nice leather band

cheaply made, way over priced.

Minute hand was not level, bent up. Second hand would catch on it and stop causing the watch to stop working.
Upon opening to see if the problem could be easily repaired, it was discovered that the watch hands were inaccessible. Not a simple fix. It was also discovered the workings of the watch were very cheaply made. No attempt was made fix just to close up. In attempting to put the back on the watch, the same as if changing the battery, the crystal on front of the watch shattered.
I have had better made fifteen dollar watches from the discount store.

Functional daytime watch

White dial provides great daytime visibility. Watch overall looks great. Keeps great time.

Luminescent hands are minimally visible in the dark. Date window is almost unreadable due to glare/distortion and size.

It looks very nice.

I cannot give reliability and durability ratings for something I've owned for a week.

Have to agree with other users, the Zulu part of the clock is way too small and if its like 5 : 35 then forget about even trying to read the small part of the watch.

If the crown gets bumped then it can shut itself off pretty easily. Easily enough that I did it without realizing it.

Nice watch. I bought the one with white sphere. It is larger than I was expecting. The numbers are large and easy to read, even the date.

The second time zone is sometimes covered partially by the watch hands (for instance at 7:25). I wish the second time zone was indicated by nother hand that rotates around the center. The button used to change the second time zone (located at 4 o'clock) is active all the time and could be inadvertently pressed if you are not carefull handling the watc.

Overall, a great buy!
