I owned the Garmin before this Dual and the Garmin would not work in the CRJ Jet. (It did work ok in small GA aircraft)
The Dual works perfectly in both the Jet and GA aircraft. The Garmin also would turn on when packed in a flight bag and be dead when you needed to use it. The Dual has a power button that has to be held for a moment and this issue never happens to the dual.

This thing works great in my single engine cessna as well as the G-IV and G-V I fly for a living. Interface is simple even for a not so computer savy person.

    Pros

It's small and simple. I like the versatility of being able to attach a strap to connect to a backpack or use as armband when doing outdoor adventure activities. Free app for download that allows you to see which satellites are being picked up and the quality of the signal. Easy to set up. Seems durable, but I haven't had it long enough to make a judgment.

    Cons

When placed on the glare shield and flying at night, the blue bluetooth light on top of the unit reflects off the windshield and is a minor distraction.

    General Comments

I've used it on 4 flights so far with the Fltplan.com and Cloud Ahoy apps running at the same time. Worked as expected 3 of the 4 times, and the time it didn't, I think it was an issue with the iPad or the other apps, but I'm not sure. I've been really pleased with the performance so far, and am glad I purchased it. Looking forward to using it on every flight.

    It Works After All
    Pros

It works, it doesn't take up much space, you can put it in full satellite view.

    Cons

Instructions do not adequately explain how to pair.
Micro-switch to change modes is too flimsy. Mine broke off, conveniently in the correct position for iPadMini

    General Comments

I could not pair with my iPad mini because I still had my iPhone and Mac PowerBook turned on. The instructions never tell you to turn them off, then turn on the iPad Mini, and then the Dual GPS150. After they pair you can turn on other devices.

    Awesome Product
    Pros

Increased my iPad GPS sensitivity by a 1000 %. I love it and have already recommended it other pilots for use with their iPads.

    Cons

Although easy to operate, turning it on and off took a bit of effort at first. Just remember to hold down the pressure on the on and off switch until the unit cycles through to its on or off position.
