| Great, handy way of keeping pen/pencil handy. I saw another pilot who wedged his into a door seam so that he always had a pen/pencil available. Cons The coiled spring steel seems to stretch fairly easily and not retain the pencil. I put a pen (with its own clip that I attach to this clip) in one side. No problem. The other side is where I store a yellow pencil. Unfortunately, the pencil is easily bumped and doesn't want to always stay put. I've inadvertently knocked it out of the clip more than once as I shuffled charts and logs. Fortunately, I always keep several pencils stashed other places in the cockpit.
