Cons This version of the cigarette Lighter adapter, is of cheaper quality than the ones with the 90 degree pllug into the GPS. I wish there were a better quality cable available from Sporty's. |

From the original 90 degree angle plug now it will not fit in my GPS mount in my plane. The new plug is worthless I had to return it to Sportys. Why a company would change the plug style is beyond me. I spoke to a Garmin Representative I was told the change was to stop wire breakage. If the consumer would grasp the plug to to remove it. They wouldn't have that problem. I still don't understand why a company as large as they are couldn't carry both styles of plugs. I purchased a Garmin 196 when they first came out and I have used the same mount ever since. After paying $2300 for the GPS I expected better support from Garmin.
