The antenna was easy to install and use. It seems to have solved my problem of periodically losing the satellite signal. I like its portability as I am an airplane renter and it must be removed and stored after each flight.

At the present, I have no negative points. I just hope its durability is not a factor.

Good sensitivity with the Garmin 96C.
Small and lightweight.
Good cable length at 8 feet.

Cost a little high.
Not specifically designed/optimized for aviation use.

Seems to be designed for car or boat use primarily:
--The suction cup mount is not practical for mounting out of your view on curved plexiglass cockpit windows.
--The magnetic mount is not good for placing it on top of a plastic or aluminum glareshield, especially near your magnetic compass!
I modified the magnetic mount base for aviation use by peeling back the rubber cover, popping out the high strength mini magnets, and replacing the cover. It works well now buy placing on top of the glareshield where it meets the window in a wedge. The rubber base prevents it from sliding around on the glareshield even in turbulence.

Does improve the signal strength to the GPS unit.

You have to find the "sweet spot" in your aircraft to take advantage of this accessory.

Get it, you will need it in order to properly receive good signals on your GPS, when operating in an aircraft cockpit.

The 96C stays in 3D mode more often. This increases the accuracy of the unit.

It's not always easy to find a good place to put the antenna.

Once a good location is found, the unit works very well.

Fine antenna. Great reception, easy to install with Garmin 96C and Ram Mount

Suction cup mounting option is virtually worthless, at least in my airplane. It's better to get hook and loop fastner tape and put one side on the dash and the other on the bottom side of the antenna.
