    Active Noise Reduction (ANR)

    Active Noise Reduction (ANR)

Active Noise Reduction is a system of tiny microphones and speakers that listens to the ambient noise and electronically reduces it in the headset. ANR is particularly effective at cancelling low frequency noise (like engine noise,) and allows the headset to be both quieter and smaller than passive headsets. ANR headsets do require a power source, either battery or panel.

Be sure to know where the switch is and how to change the headset from mono to stereo, my first flight up I plugged in and only was on mono. Luckily I took the time when I received the headset and looked over the instructions and knew what I had to do right away. This is a great headset for the student pilot all the way up. A couple of the guys at the FBO have had DC headsets their whole flight career and for some of them that is a LONG time!

It does what it's supposed to and at a fair price. I'm not commenting about durability or reliability as I just received them, not because I don't expect it to be durable and reliable.

Very lightweight, comfortable ear seals, noise reducing

    Cons

    No headset bag, exposed wiring

    General Comments

An upgrade to my first low-end headset, I was pleased with this purchase though it would've been more pleasing to get a headset bad and for the wiring that goes into each ear to be internal or constructed in such a way that it is flush with the rest of the headset.

    David Clark H10-13S
    Pros

Very Reliable and durable headset with option for stereo or mono. Great clarity and almost indestructible.

    Cons

Very rare situations can use stereo.

    General Comments

Great product, but I didn't really need the stereo option. However, if the situation ever arrises where I need stereo, I'll have it.

    Great Product
    Pros

Great passive noise reduction. Fits well once adjusted. Great sound. Very durable.

    Cons

Need to get a whole tool kit out just to adjust it. Stereo switch is good because you can't accidentaly switch between stereo and mono, but it is nearly impossible to switch when you need to.

    Pros

You can tell its quality made right out of the box, i can't wait till my next flight and bring them along. It feels really comfortable and the mic stays by your mouth unlike other non-aviation headsets i've had. I would highly recommend it. 1st headset for flying and i really like it.
