The model XRX works great. Much better than the MRX model that never worked for me.

    Cons

I requested a return number from Zaon about two weeks ago to return my model MRX for repair and never heard from them. Makes me wonder if they are still in business.

    General Comments

The position of the XRX near the windshield blocks my view somewhat, but that's the sacrifice you make when avionics are not panel mounted.

    Pros

Coming from the MRX, the XRX is a big step forward. On the little display screen, a radar like image shows where the traffic is located (display mode B, not shown on the product picture). Up to three little dots show up. This is amazing. The angular resolution is great (30 degrees).

    Cons

The device has a cooling fan that is about as loud as a turn indicator. Very annoying when trying it out at home or in a car. In the plane though, it's not an issue.
Putting it level on the dash is a challenge. I use a folded up anti skid mat, a bit messy.

    General Comments

Far exceeded my expectations. It raises my fun flying. Our air space here in San Diego is very crowded. Finally I can see the traffic on a radar screen.

Ease of use, Lightweight, great product support from Zaon, great compatability with Garmin 696

    Cons

To use it withmy Garmin 696, there are a lot of cables to connect, power cable, headset cable for voice prompts and I have not found a way yet to keep them organized.

    General Comments

This is a great tool and I am happy that I purchased it. There was a lot of traffic out there I was issing and now I have the abilityt o be alerted to their presence. If you fly in congested areas, this is a must.

    Pros

Excellent product for renters or those with older aircraft. It performs as advertised and I would recommend it as it has been a very helpful "second set of eyes" when flying in the busy airspace around San Antonio and up toward DFW.

    Cons

Getting it sit level on various instrument cowling shapes is a bit of a challenge ... I finally resorted to carrying a small (dark so no reflection) towel with me that I can fold to varying thicknesses to provide a soft, non-slippery, level spot on almost any dash.

    Pros

After three uses I feel that the product works as advertised, and am very happy with the purchase. Easily plugged in to my Av8or Ace GPS hand-held, and provides traffic information right on the map screen, which can change to a dedicated traffic screen when an alert occurs.

    Cons

It was not apparent that I could get a cable for the Av8or Ace through Bendix-Kings Wingman web site, so I lost some time talking to Bendix-King dealers.

This is a great product, which really helps avoid traffic. It also reinforces how difficult it is to see traffic flying near you. On a long cross country, it showed me a least five aircraft that I did not know were in my immediate vicinity. I would highly recommend it to anyone that fly in areas with radar coverage.
