Less looking down below the instrument panel. Keeps your eyes at a mid level. ConsNo data put down on the board like the aluminium kneeboards. Requires you to supply your own data. General CommentsI always found I was hitting my clipboard with the flight controls. After looking for a smaller board I found this Arm Board. It works much better for me. I was writing notes on my arm anway, may as well have a real note pad to put it on. Find it much easier to reference. A great product. |

I got a cheap pen on a retractable cord that hangs around my neck and works great with this. You can write down your clearances and keep your left hand on the yoke. It's always there and ready to use. I made up inserts for the airports I use that fit in the inside pockets. ConsQuality is not the greatest. My wife had to sew the Velcro back on before I even got to use it. Also the armband is to small to put over any type of coat. I'd rather see 2 narrow but longer bands with clips instead of Velcro. The pen holder is too small to be of any real use. It's too difficult to get a pen in and out with one hand. For the price it should of came with more than one pad of cheap paper. And the paper should be grid paper. And finally I stuck thick cardboard in the insert to stiffen it up, otherwise it just molds around your arm and the flap doesn't stay down and it makes your arm sweat! General CommentsThis is a great idea, it just needs some simple refinement. I'm going to use it because it meets my needs. And if they come out with a version 2.0 that fixed these issues I'd probably buy that one. |
