Rheostat on light works great and light covers the papers well. ConsSpring across top doesn't hold pens or pencils securely - they fall out easily. The pencil holder is small and tight so it won't hold a pen either. The pencil sharpener has no cover and just dumps pencil shavings all over your leg. General CommentsNot worth the price. Get a clip on light and a regular knee-board like the similar unlighted one that will hold pens and pencils securely and save your money. |

I have had one of these kneeboards for over 35 years. It held up great. I used it a lot! But finally it started coming apart and I was too lazy to just fix it so I decided to buy a new one. The surprise was that they are now made out of plastic! To the best of my knowledge the description did not say that or I probably would not have bought it. My old one was metal and I had no problems with it for those 35 years. We will see what happens with the plastic! So, this is just an alert to anyone who hasn't seen one of these for a while and wasn't aware they were now plastic. It is virtually identical to my old one, just a different material. Sporty's ResponseStanley, you may be thinking of another kneeboard. This one has been made from a high quality plastic for a long, long time. |
