Deluxe Lighted Kneeboard
Military Spec Kneeboards - Available Exclusively from Sporty's These kneeboards are currently in use by Air Force and Navy pilots as well as other members of the U.S. Dept. of Defense. They were adopted by the Air Force and Navy because of their proven reliability, high quality, and lightweight construction. The wide elastic strap, contoured bottom with non-slip foam strips, and rounded corners allow for comfortable use. The deluxe model features a rheostat lighting system for both day and night use, and the top clip opens wide enough to hold all but the thickest NACO approach plate books. We feel these Military Spec Kneeboards are the finest of their type-for both day and night flying. Deluxe Lighted Kneeboard This deluxe kneeboard features a unique lighting system that incorporates a rheostat for adjusting brightness. Illumination is provided by two long-life bulbs and is distributed over the entire surface by a special prism lens. Operates on three AA batteries (not included). Overall measurements are 10" x 5 1/2"; weighs 16 oz. |

| The knee board is really handy as it gives a firm place to write and copy down instructions from a tower or ground control. The light is great for night and works well with it being adjustable. ConsThe pen holder is not good in my humble opinion. There is a side holder for a pencil, but it is hard to get it out of the holder. The metal pen holder also could end up with ink on your pants or you could poke yourself with the pen. I only just starting using it, so I may be able to figure out a better way to deal with this issue. If not, I would return it.
