Problem was that it kept sliding down his lap. In fairness, we were dealing with a Head-set issue that required him to keep manuevering or "playing" with the head-set recepticals and in bending over, the flight desk kept sliding. Our 2nd flight was better. I plan to try 1 or 2 more flight and if not acceptable, I'll return it. |

I haven't tried it with shorts yet, but I bet it will be the same. It hasn't slipped yet! The clips are strong and there's ample room for charts, flight log, and paper for quick notes. ConsThe desk folds with the clips out, meaning that plates, charts, and papers are on the outside when it's being transported or stored. You have to be a little careful when putting it in or removing it from the flight bag so that papers don't slip out. I wasn't expecting this and would prefer it folding the other way. I certainly do plan on still using it, as its pros outweigh its cons. General CommentsOverall a good product and definitely worth buying, but not quite perfect. |

I fly with a smaller person and he likes having the wider 2 sides to clip notes on the right and charts on the left side. It works very well for him. I am left handed and would appreciate the top clip on the left side and the side clip on the right side. |
