It fits nicely on the yoke and has large buttons that are easy to find and operate even when it gets bumpy. ConsI had to cut off the spring-loaded clip so that I could velcro the timer to the yoke. The clip seems to have no value. The buttons are a little bit sensitive. If I accidentally brush against the timer while reaching for the DG it activates a new mode or operation. General CommentsOverall I'm very pleased with this simple timer for basic IFR work. For the price, it was a good purchase. |

The memory feature is great to pre-load times for approaches. Having both a count up and count down feature makes the timer easy to use for a timed approach and the missed. ConsThe screen indication of which mode the timer is in is too small, especially in turbulence. The magnetic base would be more effective if it were flat and didn't have the ribs down the side. The clamp isn't effective on a smooth surface, like a lap desk unless you clamp the timer to the foam padding on the back, or a piece of fabric. General CommentsThe start/stop button doesn't have a different look or feel to distinguish it from the other buttons. Making the start/stop button different from the rest would make it easier to find in an airplane bouncing around in turbulence. |

I already had a piece of velcro on the end of my yoke, I just removed the "stand" from the back and velcro'ed it to the yoke. Since it was so cheap I figured I couldn't go wrong if I wished to upgrade later. It should be fine for my training. Very simple and easy to use, that is what i was looking for at this time.
