The FAA exam-authorized CX-2 Pathfinder gives you 40 aviation calculations plus 16 unit conversions. The easy-to-read display prompts you for each data element using simple menus. Also includes stopwatch, countdown timer, and an internal clock that displays local and GMT time. Functions can be used together in chain calculations. | I can't rate the durability or reliability just yet, I haven't had it that long....but it works well so far, it is easy to use, with a little practice it makes sense. It is worth the money to have something that is quick and easy as opposed to a mechanical E6B. ConsI agree with the many of the other comments about it not being back lit for night ops. Really helpful to have the contrast adjustable. Used it for my Cross Country flight planning and my first solo cross country and was really really helpful and took the work load off. My instructor has a Jeppessen computer and he didnt like it. He prefers this one. Threw my manual E6-B to the drawer and dont plan to use until further notice :D. High recommendable. Has a timer and also displays zulu time. This device has a auto shut of after certain time and if you have the timer running it will still keep track of it. The instruction manuel makes it simple to operate, with pratice problem to get you aquainted with it. I found it makes filing a flight plan more accurate and less time consuming. I really enjoy the CX-2 with a ton of extra options that include calulating cloud base, weights/balance, fuel burn, fuel rate and so on. ConsNone General CommentsSo far with my extensive use of the CX-2 I have found it very reliable and very ease to learn and use. In my personal opinion the CX-2 is great and i have not one thing negitive to say. |

I don't know how I will be able to read the display in a bright cockpit or when there is any glare. | VERY easy to use. It's also a very intuitive unit as well. I think this E6B is easier to use than the Sportys E6B. ConsDoes not do as many functions as I expected. General CommentsA little pricey for what it can actually do but I would recvomend it over the Sportys E6B. |
