    Pros

Overall a good product, it was easy to download onto the computer and set up. The program was simple to use and with just a mouse click you can navigate to the different screens i.e map, cockpit etc.

    Cons

Visually the graphics are somewhat outdated by todays tech standards. The approach plates date back to 2006 so allot of the approaches I wanted to practice were not listed.

    General Comments

A good product that is great for practicing IFR.

    Pros

Software is a comprehensive learning and currency trainer as advertised.

    Cons

The software scenery is not detailed and does not simulate real world scenarios. Its interface with CH Products Yoke is not adjustable to sensitivity. A slight movement of the yoke cause severe changes in pitch and yaw.

    General Comments

There needs to be a software fix for the sensitivity issue and then I feel I could recommend it.

    Pros

Better good at shooting instrument approaches. Fairly good instrument procedural trainer.

    Cons

The Garmin GPS nor does the brakes work with Windows 7 using Ver. 9.5. ASA told me a patch was coming to correct this problem but no time frame given. They told me to use Ver. 8.0 until patch is released.

    General Comments

If the above problems with Window 7 were corrected, it would be a very good IFR training software.

    Pros

It is very simple, doesn't need a powerful computer to run.

    Cons

there was only 2 problems I had with this simulator. First, it takes forever to turn the obs and heading bugs. you have to turn them one click at a time. Second, it doesn't intergrate ATC. I would like to be able to get ATC clearences and talk to Them.

    Pros

    GPS approach practice is possible.
Practice with a glass panel is possible.
Inclusion of approach plates is a nice feature.

    Cons

The glass panel only is available in one aircraft choice. It would be nice to have it as an option for the other aircraft.

    General Comments

I've been using OnTop for the past 4 years. I recently upgraded to version 9.5 because I wanted to add the functionality of the Garmin 430 and a glass panel to my practice opportunities.

I use OnTop to help keep me sharp with various intrument approaches. Before a cross country, I often use OnTop to fly one or more approaches at my destination airport -- it helps me be just that much sharper when I get there -- plus it's fun.

    Pros

The software is easy to use and good for just keeping up with instrument approaches. Great for pilots who want a simple to use program.

    Cons

The graphics are not nearly as good as the Microsoft Flight Sims.....but who has a powerful enough computer to run it at 100%....no one I have met.

    General Comments

If you want a simple way to practice approaches without all the hassle of having a high-powered computer....this is it.

    Pros

This is fantastic. Great refresher, and fantastic for trip prep.. flying the approach on the computer prior to the trip!

    Cons

I really can't think of any... this is really a fun product.

    General Comments

RTFM... I really should read the manual in more depth, but I thought I could configure and save a flight without reading the manual, but I guess I will have to pick up the manual and read!

Great product to keep me thinking.
