Very thorough program. Just as well constructed as the Private Pilot kit. I can't rate the reliability based on my short time after purchase.

I was disappointed that the test bank for the written test was not on CD. The online version doesn't fit my needs as well. I travel as a commercial passenger a lot and like to drill questions on flights.

The logbook is pretty heavy. I won't carry it, but I see it as added value to the kit.

As we are still just starting the instrument training, it is hard to rate durability or reliability. However, the kneeboard and the flight computer are great. The DVD's are easy to watch and understand. I will keep you posted as to the progress and if there are any problems or kudos to relate. Thank you so much for your products.

Good solid material on IFR principles in the course.

I needed a log book, IFR plotter, flight bag and electronic E6B so the package was a good deal for me.

Kinda light on G1000 information, dfo not feel that I will be able to pass the flight test in a TAA with this course.

Given that the TAA content is a little light, I think the course is due a revision, price reduction, or qualifier that it focuses on steam gage panel IFR.

Wow, what a great value for the money. Excellent quality.

It would be nice to also have an book that followed along with the videos as you watch.

Very well laid out with printed material interfacing well with the DVD's. I'm just getting started and it is easy to follow and quite logical.

So far the only glitch I have found is that you cannot go "back" to review a question once you have answered it correctly.

Sporty's has done a great job. The DVD's hold your interest very well, even when kicking back on the couch!

Great package.

E6B is a little delicate. Will not handle my daughter's 110 lbs body accidentally stepping on it!

Unfortunately my FBO providing the Instrument Instruction requires the Cessna package for curriculum.

I am about half way through course, and it is very comprehensive, and as expected.

The course work (books and manuals) beyond the DVD's is also very good. I am confident that following this course will make me a technically proficient instrument pilot.

I highly recommend getting the bag with the package, it is well organized for use in flight as well as carrying outside the plane.

Previous reviews had suggeted that the ability to fast forward and rewind to discreet portions of a section would be nice. I thought at the time of purchase that this would not be a big deal, but it is truly a shortcoming of the package.

The only shortcoming of the bag is that in some pockets the zippers could have been unidirectional for better access.

By the way, the regular shipping got the product to me within I believe 24 hours even though I ordered after five O'clock!

The Kit overall is very usefull. Everything that I would need to complete my instrument c ertification.

Kit was sent without the flight computer. I had to call Sporty's to find out that it was on back order. Sporty's never made any attempt to contact me and inform me.

This kit was given to me as a gift because I am a student pilot about to complete my private pilot training. So my next step is my insturment. Since I am a new pilot I did not have some of the things such as the electronic E6B or a good flight bag. So it was the best choice to buy the kit that included all of what i didnt have with the books i needed for my next step. In doing so I saved money and got some really nice stuff. The bag is very well made, very sturdy. Tjhe log book is quite nice as well. The books thus far have been very well written and clear.

The electronic E6B was out of stock so it hasnt arrived yet (not a big deal for me but if you wanted to use all of it the day you got it, that would be a problem).

Moving up from the Private Pilot course, this is everything I'd come to expect from Sporty's. Newer bag is much better constructed than before the redesign

Nothing so far. DVD's even include newer segments that include glass cockpits

Great value for the money. Wouldn't recommend any other instrument learning course.

The videos are much better produced than other video courses that I used to get my PPL. The binder that the course outline, DVDs, and study guide come in is a nice touch. Flight bag seems very durable.

These are practically nit picking but I would have prefered the regular electronic E6B to the thin one for durability purposes and the flight bag is not big enough to fit (without squishing or bending) standard 8 1/2 X 11 notebooks in it unless you lay them down on the inside.

Easy to follow and understand.

The DVD's were great as a learning tool. However the system software needs to be upgraded. I have the new Microsoft Vista program on my laptop and the DVD's do not work with Vista. I even downloaded the AVSDVD program in an attempt to help. It did not work. Or maybe it's my four day old new Toshiba laptop. All I know is the DVD's only work on my TV player in the den. I have had no problems with other DVDs in my computer.

Very nice and durable bag. Way better than the one I had. Looks good too!

Headset pocket is a little tight.

I haven't finished the instrument course yet, but the DVDs go a little fast. It would be nice to have one of the DVDs explain the overall program and what the instrument rating is and what it does for you.

Well put together, everything is there. The flight bag is great, pleanty of room to store all the odds and ends. The accompanied literature is appreciated for hitting the more complicated areas of the DVD's.

Ample storage space. Looks great. The construction seems much more durable than the previous bag I had.

Single zipper on headphone, gps, and side compartments makes it more difficult to zip and unzip. Adjustable interior compartment takes some work to get it where you need it.

DVD's are a great resource.
New pilot bag holds most everything I need. It is actually little big.
Richard Collins experience and insight add to the training reality.
It is nice to have the procedures explained and illustrated on the new G1000 aircraft.

The FAA books are somewhat harder to understand than some of the independant books from Jeppesen.
It would be nice if there more some more specific instruction regarding flight plan filing, proper departure procedures, and more detail regarding weather.
There seems to be way more info than necessary for turbo systems and not enough on weather.

Overall a great kit for the money.
