Telex Stratus 30XT Headset
The Stratus 30XT includes many of the impressive features of the Stratus 50 Digital, but without the digital ANR. It still provides excellent ANR noise reduction, ComfortCam™ adjustable comfort features and a cell phone/music adaptor. The new power management system allows you to power the headset from the aircraft panel, standard alkaline batteries or rechargeable batteries. The Stratus 30XT offers a built-in battery recharger that recharges when plugged into a wall socket, the aircraft’s panel power or even your car’s 12-volt power outlet. The exclusive microprocessor-control battery management system ensures more than 50 hours of battery life — one of the longest available. Two AA rechargeable batteries included. Dual stereo controls, weighs 18.5 oz, 5 year warranty. |

I fly in a Piper Archer, and the engine noise is almost completely eliminated. Radio calls come in clear. Very little sweating inside the headphones even in a warm cockpit. ConsNone so far. General CommentsOverall a great investment so far. Only owned the headset for 6 weeks or so, but no problems. Haven't tried out the cell phone or iPod use with the headset. |
| Love the ability to connect phone and iPod to the interface. ConsMine had an unbearably loud squealing noise that would activate upon climb and decent. Only occurred while using the noise canceling feature. While trying to adjust them, the plastic housing for the battery cracked. Returned them for a refund and bought another pair.
