    Pros

A good summary of the kinds of things you can expect on the Instrument Oral Exam. Just don't get too carried away memorizing it, as your examiner may choose to ask different questions in different ways.

    Cons

Because the format is "Question and Answer" it's not always an easy reference tool for any other purpose, and the content isn't exactly Steven King or Dean Koontz.

Covers most instrument oral questions and is easy to look up info.

    Cons

There are a few questions regarding GPS legality that aren't covered which I found out the hard way.

    Pros

Always a good book to have. This covers a lot of the oral exam questions a check airmen would ask, sometimes they are directly out of this book.

    Cons

Does not prepare the reader for a real world understanding of the material. There is substitute for knowing the systems of the airplane you fly, that is what will really help come checkride time.

More great questions then the examiner will ask you! Even though an examiner won't ask you every question in this book you'll be a very knowledgeable instrument pilot if you read the entire book.
