| Bright white light for preflight operations. Good colored light for cockpit operatios. Colored light is not blinding allowing you to see outside still. Great for using every night flying. ConsNot able to tell the difference between the white light on switch and the colored. If you accidentally turn on the white in the cockpit it is blinding. I know that this unit was not engineered with astromoners in mind, but I have searched long and hard for a flashlight with a red led so that I can read starmaps at night while observing. This unit is perfect for astronomers, as demonstrated by the number of people inquiring about a source for this light. I have recommended this light on each occasion. |
