Lasers make alignment easy. Simple to use. Cockpit audio and video quality excellent. Mounting options are flexible (with optional universal adapter).

Can't always spot if it is on or off. Would like more battery life & recording time at full HD. Would like the detachable audio patch cable of the higher model, even though I can live without the extra filtering and GPS of that model.

I have watched back the Tail wheel lessons I have done with my instructor and learnt more in the watching. A very useful training tool.

Well worth the money

Well worth the money. You can go back and review your flight see what your were doing and rewatch any mistake that you made have made during the training flight. You can alson take notes on what your CFI was telling you during the flight so when you are flying.
When I get home one of the first thing I do is to burn it to a DVD so I can rewatch it and show what I am doing to others and not take up Hard drive space.

Decent Video quality

Trying to get the unit recognized by the USB port.
Trying to format any memory disk to FAT from FAT32
Trying to get the power to come on, had to eject battery to re-insert. Not good while flying.

Besides the cons listed, the audio cables were intermittent.

Very easy to use. it is just as advertised.

To spend money on a flight instruction without this product is a very big mistake !

Product works as expected. The audio was even clearer than expected. No background noise just clear atc.

Setting up on the computer is kinda confusing, the instructions booklet is vague at best, tried to call the 800# for help and could never get through,something about all the lines are busy try again later??????? that mean that a lot of people are having the same problems i have.HHHMMMMM..... Will look at the Go Pro model and see if its any better.

Great picture quality and easy to use and setup (laser pointers for keeping things lined up, rechargeable battery and big record sliding button).

The instructions booklet that comes with it does not completely apply to this aviation type camera. It is produced by the camera maker which is purchased by NFlight and modified for the sound portion. In order to get a high crisp sound in my T182T with Bose X headsets, I had to download the NFlight software and change the default sound setting for the camera. I also had to place fresh batteries in my headset and make sure the dual volume controls were all the way up. After that the setup worked great.

With other portable HD cameras selling in Costco for $179, I find this one a bit pricy at $399. However sound integration (intercom and traffic chatter) is key and certainly make this a great instructional tool for us pilots.

Very clear. I mounted mine on my headset and even with the vibrations from the helicopter, the footage is very steady. Even the low resolution setting is awesome.

Because I fly helicopters, I had to get a fixed-wing to helicopter adapter then a helicopter to fixed wing adapter so I could get audio. The 2-GB memory card that it comes with is too small for a full flight, so I purchased an 8-GB card that is more then enough even on the high res setting.

very nice camera
high quality video and the sound was better than I expected

The biggest problem with this camera is the lack of instructions. It came with almost nothing, and it would have been very nice to have some detailed instructions.

Also, it is very pricey and I think for the money it would have been better if it came with some more mounting supplies.
