UNUSABLE - Noise through headsets

This is a great battery that last a long time. In testing at home it has charged and powered my MINI IPAD and CLARITY SV receiver and keep them at 100% for many hours.

The first time I used it in the airplane it opened the com squelch and would not shut off until I turned the Battery off. Listening to constant noise through your headsets is not a good thing.

I would rate this all 5 stars if it weren't for the noise. It is UNUSABLE as is. I was able to move the Battery backup around the cockpit and find a few spots where the noise went away. Not feasible.

Good to check all your tools out on nice VFR days before you need to rely on them in IFR.

Please fix this. It would otherwise be a great all 5 star product.!!!!

AT SAME TIME. CHECK YOUR mAMPS LIMITATIONS,
ALSO TENDENCY TO PRODUCE HEAT.

Best Backup Battery On The Market!

Compact, charges multiple devices simultaneously, works seemlessly with Droid & Apple products, ease of use, long lasting charge.

None so far.

First rate product! Connects seemlessly through my Bad Elf GPS to charge my iPad while on the go. Compact design fits well in the space confines of our Lear Jet cockpit. I consider it a must have during our multiple flight leg days and virtually continuous iPad/Bad Elf GPS usage.

room for improvement

This battery will indeed run an iPad for hours without even braking a sweat.

This battery uses some sort of switching power delivery and can be heard on some radio freqs. It is sufficiently strong to cause the squelch to remain open and this will eventually become irritating.

Could use a few well dimensioned capacitors to dampen out the noise. I expected Sporty's to catch this flaw before they put it up for sale.

Charges easy, simple to plug in devices, can charge multiple devices at the same time.

Have to move plug around a bit to get my IPAD to charge.

Buying another for 2 pilot operation of IPADS

Provides power to run IPAD with ForeFlight running with GPS and XM continuously for 12 hours with one light remaining of 4 power indicators after 12 hours of use. Great unit, that's why I am buying a second of the 16,000mAh units.

One of four small round rubber pads on the base fell off, but I took the other three off since we don't need them anyway.
