The box with the switch fits perfectly on the extra tab on the side of the knee board. The leg strap is nice and wide and is NOT velcro so it won't wear out over the years. ConsThe clip for papers, etc on the main part of the knee board is plastic and appears like it may break if lifted too far or too often. A metal clip would be better. I had reservations about this knee board before I ordered it, but it has met and exceeded every expectation. The adjustable elastic strap to hold the pad to your knee is very comfortible for long hours flying, and the underside curvature fits my leg perfectly. I forget it is even there. I use the clip board portion to hold my charts and maps, and a list of my own aircraft flight information (Cessna U206G). I use a sticky pad for the right side extension, adhering the pad to the board with the sticky on the back of the pad for non-messy adhesion. This note pad is great to use and then tear off as I wish. The pen/pencil holder is a nice feature, which will also hold a small goose-necked flashlight for night work.
