This is the nicest Lighted Magnifying Glass we’ve found. It’s made of aluminum, not plastic, by a company whose hallmark is providing value and quality in telescopes for astronomers. The 55mm lens offers 2.5x magnification and it has built-in LEDs; press the button once to turn on 4 LEDs, twice to turn on 8. Great for map reading, or for working on projects that have details that aren’t as easy to see as they used to be. It’s about 8” long; takes two AA batteries and comes in a padded wooden case.

 Not a practical product Product appears to be durable and well made Field of view is way, way, way too small. This product is probably useful if you have the exact application for which it was designed. It in not practical and has no value for most common types of magnification uses. You have to hold it so close to what you are trying to see that the field of view is basically worthless. I which I had not wasted money on this product. |
