Light weight, easily articulated, attaches to a Piper PA-23 yoke (connecting to the top bridge), 172-182 yokes no issues. So many articulation points hard to see how one could break it short of stepping on it.

My first clip broke within a few weeks of heavy use. Turbulence and attempted one hand operation were partly to blame. Plastic construction was also to blame. While it was working, it had been my favorite clip to use because it's swing arm makes positioning appr. plates easy, and those plates stay in place. Luckily these clips aren't expensive. Buy a couple of them.

I had reservations about ordering this item, as to it's durability, but after many hours of use I am very satisfied. It clips to my yoke shaft very securely, doesn't move or slide around from where clipped, and still is narrow enough to allow full movement of my yoke shaft. The adjustable portion is just the right length to hold my clipped data over the top of my yoke high enough to read easily. The clip is very sturdy and strong, and will hold a single sheet or multiple sheets equally firmly in place with no slippage. I can clip any sheet of items that I need ready reference to, and it hangs just perfectly over the front of my yoke and stays in place regardless of level flight or banked turns, completely out of the way. I highly recommend this product, and the price is absolutely great too.

I really like this clip. It works great. My instructor liked it so much he asked me to order one for him. Be sure to order a spare!

It was great! I used it for my long ifr flight during instrument training and it helps keep everything organized and instead of looking down all the time your simply looking at your yoke. A student pilot who came along saw how helpful it was he bought one two days after from sportys as well.

Difficult to insert charts

Articulated arm is stiff enough to stay where you put it. Control shaft clip has silicone lining and stays in place very well.
Cons
Area to grip to open the clip is small and the spring is very stiff, which makes it hard to squeeze.
General Comments
Especially difficult to insert approach plates while flying in any turbulence as the opening of the clip is fairly narrow...therefore it becomes an unwelcome distraction while setting up for an approach.

Had a strong clip to stay on the yoke. Strong clip up top held charts without any slippage. Perfect height so the chart is held by the clip but rests on the yoke as well.

Priced low enough to make it reasonable to keep a spare. Very flexible. Fits on a Beechcraft Musketeer yoke and holds approach plates well. Very tight clip holds papers in place well.

When you take it out of the box, you will think this is some kind of cheap junk, but it proved itself once clipped onto the yoke. Even my instrument instructor liked it and he is a hard man to please!

Considering the cost, this yoke clip was much better than advertised. It has some pretty fancy rotating bearings on it with just the right amount of resistance, enabling you to position the approach plate wherever you'd like relative to the yoke. If mine breaks after a bit of use, no problem - I'll certainly buy another for the $10 in total it costs. Great item!
