Pros
Clamps down good
Cons
It is way too large for small cockpits. In fact, I'd say that it's unusable but a great idea.
General Comments
If they could cut the size in half it would be a great product.

Pros
The concept was excellent. This would be a great way to hold additional flying approach plates or special info so that the pilot can readily see it as needed.
Cons
The unit is too large and not flexible enough. when attached to the dash, anything in the clip hides important dash instruments no matter where on the dash you put it and it sticks out too far from the dash. Also, it's so rigid and cannot be flexed enough to allow the papers in the clip to lie against the side panels out of the way. The concept is great but the unit itself is not appropriate or acceptable for cockpit use.
General Comments
Just too long and cannot be shortened nor can it be flexed enough to be used in a small cockpit... without hiding valuable instruments from the line of sight of the pilot...

Pros
Quality HEAVY DUTY CONSTRUCTION. Clips hold papers well.
Cons
Way too big and overall USELESS in the aircraft. It did not clip on to anything in the cockpit to be useful. It is a terrible product that I sent back to Sporty's at my own expense to request a refund. It looks like a great item to use in the airplane but IT IS NOT!!!
General Comments
DON"T waste your money like I did. This item is USELESS and poorly designed. It should be removed from the Sporty's catalog.

Pros
Sturdy
Cons
Way too large. It could do the job at one-third the size. It is so big, it is difficult to find a large enough area on the dash where it will fit. Also, it blocks too much of the dashboard or windscreen.
General Comments
Great idea, lousy implementation. Need to build one much smaller - that would be great.

Cons
Much too large for our DA40. If you flex the arm too much, it falls apart with very little force.

Pros
Good solid construction with pretty good flexibility to position maps, etc.
Cons
Seemed like a good idea at the time, but in practice the concept was not as useful as expected. The plane (a DA20) is operated via a center of seat mouted stick and a map in many positions had a tendency to restrict the free flow of the controls. No safety concern, but it presented an unwished for feeling on the controls. Even when positioned to avoid this, a map ended up obscuring a part of the instrument panel. That should have occurred to me before buying it but it didn't.
General Comments
Overall it seemed like a good idea at the time, but using my kneeboard as I had done before remained the best option. No impact on controls, no hidden engine guages, etc.
