Once you get familiar with it, it's a great item to have. First, the photo is backwards. The plug in part of the cord should come out of the hole in the side of the reel. Second, the instructions do not tell you, but you cannot have it plugged into the wall while you unwind or wind it up. But still, it does it's job. Mounted to a wall gives it the best results.

Perfect for a neatnik like me
Pros
This product keeps the cord neat and handy. I like the wall mounts to keep it up out of the way yet allow you to remove it easily for moving to another location. Being able to order additional wall mounts is great too.
Cons
I'm a bit on the lazy side so a guide that would range back and forth across to guide the cord to a neat wind would be nice.

General Comments
The picture shows the extension cord wound up incorrectly. You would normally have the plug end coming out of the center hole and the socket end coming off the reel. The picture shows the opposite.
Great to store the extension cord that always seems to tangle
Cons
The instructions don't tell you but when you are reeling or unreeling the cord make sure the end you plug into the socket is stored in the center of the reel or it will twist into a tight mess. Store and your ready to go
