This is as good as any but I ended up purchasing a made in the U.S.A. version manufactured by APR industries that I wish I has seen prior to buying this model. Now I have both products. The APR version has a wind speed cursor arm features on the back side for reference and also saves the step of marking the wind dot. I really prefer APR's model.

Aluminum E6B is a very sturdy product. Handy to have in flight. All casual pilots should use this product exclusively and stay away from GPS and hand helds. Exercise your training.

I bought this E6B becase unlike my cardbaord and plastic one, it won't warp if i leave it in my car on a hot summer day. I also like this E6B because it is larger and easier to read in flight.

With the instructions I was able to perform all the calculations. I found this to be much easier than the calculator with NO instructions.
Cons
Well is any slide rule easy to use??? All require a bit of thought. The instructions on the wind calculations were a bit difficult, but when I realized I had to write on the clear plastic piece (the instructions did not say with what...we newbies need more instructions...) the wind side worked well.
