JeppShades great concept but...
Pros
Jeppshades arrived and visually were as expected. Very light, offers a clear view of the instrument panel while effectively blocking out the outside environment. Easily adjustable and saves your vision. Better than looking thru the thick plastic of normal foggles.
Cons
Product flip hinge snaps off repeatedly. Hinge actually broke on third use. Big Waste of Money. The concept is great however someone needs to redesign the hinge assembly for strength and durability. Almost all the reviews have mentioned this problem. I failed to read the reviews before ordering.
General Comments
Overall the product ...had it lasted more than 3 flights ...would have been a value adding training device. Hopefully Jepp will redesign the hinge.

Pros
The flip-up design, light weight, easy to adjust, can easily adjusted before flight and they stay in the same place.
Cons
Broke on my second use.
General Comments
This was my second JeppShades. I lost the first one, but liked it so much I ordered a replacement. On my second use, I went to flip the visor down and it came off the support. The plastic clip that holds the visor and allows it to rotate broke.
Keeps accidental viewing blocked, but other products are better.
Cons
Does not block the view as well as a hood.
General Comments
I was flying instruments with these on and my instructor next to me. We were heading southeast, ATC informed us of unidentified traffic 100 feet below us heading northwest. Without much head movement I was able to see out the windshield and spotted the traffic before my instructor. Obviously I want to learn to fly the instruments and not be tempted to look outside, I find that a standard hood does a much better job than these. Also, after 1 hr I experienced some discomfort on my nose and temple area - maybe I just need to adjust, but they are not as comfortable as a standard hood either.

Doesn't interfere with seal between ears and headset like foggles
Cons
Cushioned nose rest broke off on 2nd use. Had to super-glue it back on. Product arrived with headstrap on upside down.

Pros
The flip up feature makes the product very convenient.
Cons
Adjusting the strap is difficult. The good news is that once you do it, you don't need to do it again but the strap buckle is very difficult to operate.
Not sure what kind of glasses would actually fit under the device but I suspect very few would make it. They would need to be very small.
General Comments
The product overall looks to be good. I've only had them for a few weeks but so far, they have held up well being thrown into the flight bag.

I was concerned that the shades may not fit over my eye glasses, however, no problems. They're easy to lower for IFR training and lift off for final approaches.

Pros
Easy to flip down at 500 feet and much safer than struggling with a traditional hood or foggle. When up, the interference with normal vision is minimal.
Cons
None so far.
General Comments
The product listing and the packaging both say that they're not intended for use with glasses. I bought these because I'd used my CFII's pair with my glasses and had no problems with the combination. Whether it works for you may depend on the style of glasses you have.
I like the "flip up" feature, rather than the Foggles that I have used before; no dropping them on the floor for landing. Comfortable to wear.
Cons
You have to remove your headset to put them on, but you can put them on before takeoff and then just flip them down when you are ready to bo into "IMC"
