This product has great potential and it is clear a lot of effort went into the programming, but.......
Cons
.....the combined utility of the Microsoft Flight Sim X and the Saitek hardware is only as good as technical support to customers who must install, debug, and use it without support from Sportys, Microsoft, or Saitek. That support mechanism is nonexistent.
Saitek deflected all comments to Microsoft. Microsoft blamed my computer. The tech connected in to my machine by Bing and download upgrades to my video drivers. That made the problems worse and it lost a lot of functionality. I had to go back to a restore point to get critical features back.
General Comments
I do have trouble with the yoke sticking as another use had. It is difficult to control vertical speed and attitude with a sticking yoke.
The package has a number of bugs.
1. There is no rudder trim....or at least not that I can find even with customer support from either Saitek or Microsoft.
2. Using single engine planes, it demonstrates tremendous left turning tendencies. Much more than the real airplane will exhibit. It is nearly uncontrollable sometimes. And the tendencies are not consistent. I have even found it pulling right once....on the same airplane as before.
3. A number of switch panel features dont work.
4. THere was no manual or diagram to indicate what the features are intended to control. There are still many switches and buttons that I still dont know what they do. There is a window for the assignment of some control buttons, but there is not ability to change it.
5. The flaps are backwards. Up is down and down is up. No ability to reverse the functionality.
6. During take off, the screen often starts going down to the runway. The only way to get the horizon back is to pull the yoke back and attempt to take off before the airplane is ready.
7. The VOR seems to work despite the flags being up all the time.
8. The morse code from the navigation aids is blaring loud with no ability to reduce the volume.
9. The rudder toes dont control the brakes. A button on the yoke applies either no brakes or full brakes.
10. Mixture control does not work.
11. Manifold pressure control does not work.
12. The rpm indicator works on a Cessna 172 but not a Mooney Bravo.
The bugs go on and on. I would love to find a solution, but as I said, there is no support for this combination of products. It may end up back in a box to Sporty's.

Pros
Throttle quad and peddles very smooth. The switch pannel adds useful functionality.
Cons
Yoke is sticky. Makes IFR sim very difficult. I am disappointed at the poor enginering. The lack of smoothness of the yoke brings down the whole system.
