I've been using Poly-Glide polish on 3 different planes for over 15 years. I use it on the plexiglas, painted fabric, and painted fiber glass and aluminum. I buy it by the gallon and dilute it with water 2-1. Mostly, I use it to debug the leading edges and nose bowl/cowling areas. By diluting it with water I find it dissolves hard and dried debris more easily and still leaves me with the finish I like.
Cons
I think I payed under $15 the first time I ordered it. Now it is more than $25, but still worth it.

I like it because it takes little effort and the results are consistent across all surfaces, you would have to try very hard to screw up the finish. The plane looks great when finished and you don't have to break your back. I use it after a flight to clean the leading edges, it works great.
