Over 70 years ago the original A-2 was introduced by the USAAF, now you can be among the first to own this brand-new version of the Air Force's Goatskin A-2. Issued in 1998 by the USAF, it has all the style of its timeless predecessors, but it's been modernized where needed. The current A-2 sports narrow epaulets, hanging loop, patch pockets with snap closures, hand-warmer side pockets, underarm eyelets, collar snaps, brown nylon lining, heavy-duty brass zippers and bi-directional knitted wool cuffs and waistband that resist stretching and pilling. Its updated features include dual inside pockets, inside pencil pocket, an underarm expansion piece and a full-cut pattern for a looser fit. Made of brown goatskin leather. Imported.

Snap cuffe are better than elastice. Probable won't last as long as the twenty year old one

Leather soft and lightweight for Florida Weather. We have already done gift exchange. Son loved this jacket! His Seven year old daughter commented that they thought he was going to wear it to bed! Embroidered patch itself was nice.
Cons
Not crazy about the 'velcro attachment' of patch. I thought it would be sewn on.
General Comments
Excellent delivery and product overall. Have always been satisfied with Sporty's professionalism. Son is pilot for Marion County Sheriff's Department-Flies predominantly helicopters.
This was jacket was no where near the quality of the A-2 jacket my husband previously received from Sporty's. The prior jacket was made in the USA from higher quailty leather.Also, this jacket had slight design differences (i.e., pocket) which made it look inexpensive. We were disappointed in this item and returned it.
