Great for IFR flights as indicated, I took it on a cross country the other day and it made everything a lot easier. It secures to your leg too so you don't have to worry about it falling and there is a ton of room for everything you need

This is a must have for cockpit organization. Having the extra pockets right at your fingertips is great. The clipboard is larger than your standard clipboard, so you get more space. Having your flight computer on your kneeboard and the space for extra charts make this a must have for every flight.
I especially like the pilot license / id holder on the front.
I also like the fact that it folds up nicely and velcros shut. You can practically just take this and your headset on some flights.
I recommend it highly.

The product is so popular, it took Sporty's a couple of weeks to ship.

Holds all my IFR stuff well. The right flap is great for approach plates. Overall a good design. Very well built.
Cons
The left flap is almost useless to me. The kneeboard is actually very long compared to others I've seen. It hinders full deflection of the ailerons with the control wheel. The strap that wraps around your leg is a little short. This could make for a tight fit if you have big thighs.

The cons aren't enough to make me get a new one. It works fine and as advertised.

I'm a part time flight instructor, and have been looking to replace my 10 year old kneeboard. This one has room for VFR and IFR charts, and I use several pockets for instrument covers. It suits me just fine. I heartily recommend it.

This kneeboard is excellent. The design is just great. There are two pen holders, great for when you drop one, another one is available. Both sides have zippered pockets which are large enough to put charts in. The clear cover on the right side is perfect for having a charted opened up to the page you want, particularly if you fly in a local area all the time. The right flap has two small mesh pockets which are great for failed instrument covers, extra batteries, or other odds and ends. The two straps that are designed to hold a full sized E6B. Load this knee board up with everything you need for a local area flight, and you don't even need to bring that heavy flight bag.
Cons
The metal board has IFR information printed on it. I found the Sportys IFR metal kneeboard to have more readable and useful information.

Lots of pockets and places to put stuff. Charts fit perfectly. Feels secure, the Velcro strap holds the kneeboard in place even when things get bumpy. Overall, it keeps items close and handy while you’re flying and folds up nice when your not.
