Pros
The rings have lasted a long time under the abuse of my flight bag. As a CFII I use my approach plates several times daily.
Cons
The construction could be of higher quality. There are rough spots on the rings from the welding.

this is probably the fifth thing i've tried to keep my plates organized without having to rearrange them every time. the charts wrap completely around and lay flat on your kneeboard - just like a spiral bound notebook.

Works as expected once charts are in place. The best feature is it's simplicity, with no covers to add bulk.
Cons
Very difficult to open each ring, very stiff. Having to pry them open 4 times each time I want to insert charts makes it so taking out or inserting individual charts is not worth the effort. I'll just wait to reinsert each revision. This makes it cumbersome for cockpit use as you need to keep entire book in your lap to look at individual approach information.
These issues do limit it's daily utility.

I'd pay a little more for a unit that had a single open/close throw or lever that operated the rings as a unit.

General Comments
Work well but I recommend just getting two of the individual rings and use them instead. It is alot easier getting individual plates out that way instead of having to open four rings in this model. I have tried both ways now and I will go with the cheaper and easier method.
