ConsSmall buttons, Feels very cheap, extremely hard to figure out and use right, user manual is hard to understand, small writing, and doesnt explain fully how to do all the functions.. General CommentsI got this to help save time but it will take you longer to figure out just how to use it and the many different functions each button does then its worth, i wouldnt ever try using this while flying.. I've just gone back to doing everthing in my head or on paper.. |

I like the case that it's in and with a little Velcro on the back you can mount it it the airplane. I also bought the addition software which was kind of disappointing, it was exactly what was in the paper information. I was expecting to get different information and possibly short cuts from the software. If you buy the product, hold off on the software until after you've gone through the book. If you're still having difficulty then maybe buy the software or find someone who already has one. |

| Very nice. Easy to use (except to read functions), compact, FAA Exam approved. As advertised. Cons Pricey considering iPad app availability (not FAA exam approved) Overall very good. I keep it in my flight bag and use it for planning even though I do have the Sporty's E6B iPad app. |

I could not review the durability or reliability rating since I only used it for 3 minutes before ordering the CX-2. I am keeping for my first gift to give to the next guy when they say they want to start flying. :) ConsHonestly, I really did not pay much attention when I ordered this unit, I was just told that get the one on Sporty's for taking my written exam. This feels like a $2 calculator, and not very intuitive. I immediately purchased the CX-2, which I have found to be well worth the additional $5. Takes a little getting used to, but relatively simple to use. ConsButtons are a bit tricky at times, not registering the keystroke. Timers are a pain to use, great when the work but a pain. General CommentsAgain a great item sitting at the desk doing the flight log, but once in the airplane it goes back in the bag and the old CR-3 'whiz-wheel' comes out. Well within the accuracy standards, no batteries and much smaller. While I think this is a good product and does what it says, I would recommend you try one before you buy. |
